Since the Water Supply and Drainage Course was established in 1920, SOE alumni contribute to the social, economic and environmental development with their wisdom and strength in various fields and industries. There are 7 academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, namely, Dr. Guibai Li, Dr. Jie Zhang, Dr. Hongxiao Tang, Dr. Nanqi Ren, Dr. Jiuhui Qu, Dr. Yongzhen Peng, and Dr. Guojun Yue, hundreds of professors of world-class universities, as well as founders of overseas listed companies and leaders of multinational companies.
